Sony RX10 V Digital Bridge Camera

The Sony RX10 V Digital Bridge Camera is a premium all-in-one superzoom camera designed for photographers who want exceptional versatility without carrying multiple lenses. Combining a 20.1MP 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, powerful BIONZ XR image processor and an integrated ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 lens*, the RX10 V provides an impressive 25x optical zoom covering everything from wide-angle landscapes and travel photography to distant wildlife, birds and sports.

Powerful 24-600mm ZEISS Superzoom Lens

At the heart of the RX10 V is its high-quality ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 optical zoom lens*. The extensive 25x zoom range gives you the flexibility to photograph a wide variety of subjects without changing lenses, making this an excellent camera for travel, wildlife, bird photography, sports and everyday shooting.

The bright f/2.4-4.0 maximum aperture helps maintain strong image quality in changing lighting conditions, while the lens incorporates eight ED elements, including two aspherical ED elements, for detailed and high-quality results. Optical image stabilisation also helps reduce camera shake when shooting handheld at longer focal lengths.

20.1MP Stacked 1.0-Type Sensor and BIONZ XR Processing

The RX10 V features a 20.1MP 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, providing detailed images with natural gradation and fast readout performance. Combined with Sony's BIONZ XR image processing engine, the camera is designed to deliver detailed images with reduced noise, particularly at mid-to-high ISO sensitivities.

Advanced AI-Powered Autofocus

Sony has equipped the RX10 V with an AI-powered Real-time Recognition AF system capable of recognising a wide range of subjects, including people, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aircraft. Human pose estimation can help maintain focus on people even when they turn away or are partially obscured.

With up to 575 phase-detection AF points and up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second, the RX10 V is particularly well suited to fast-moving wildlife, birds and sports photography.

Up to 30fps Blackout-Free Continuous Shooting

For action photography, the RX10 V can capture images at up to 30 frames per second with full AF/AE tracking, while blackout-free shooting helps you maintain a clear view of the action. This makes it easier to follow unpredictable subjects and capture critical moments in wildlife, birding and sports photography.

Macro and Tele-Macro Photography

Despite its extensive telephoto reach, the RX10 V is also capable of close focusing. Macro photography is possible from approximately 3cm at 24mm, while tele-macro shooting can be achieved from approximately 72cm at 600mm, providing additional flexibility for flowers, insects and other detailed subjects.

Advanced 4K Video Recording

The Sony RX10 V is also a capable video camera, offering recording up to 4K 120p for high-quality footage and slow-motion video. Active Mode image stabilisation uses gyro sensors and Sony's stabilisation algorithms to help produce smoother handheld footage, while the Multi Interface Shoe provides a digital audio interface for compatible Sony microphones.

Designed for Comfortable Operation

The RX10 V incorporates control concepts inspired by Sony's Alpha mirrorless camera range, including dual control dials, an AF-ON button and an eight-direction multi-selector. Dedicated focus, zoom and aperture rings provide direct control while composing through the viewfinder.

The camera also features a large Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder and a design intended for comfortable operation during extended shooting sessions.

Built for Travel and Outdoor Photography

With its integrated 24-600mm lens, the RX10 V provides a complete shooting solution without the need to carry additional interchangeable lenses. Its dust and moisture resistant design makes it well suited to outdoor photography, while built-in 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi and USB Type-C connectivity make transferring and managing images and video more convenient.
