Even Lighting for Macro Photography

When shooting very close to a subject, the camera or photographer's hands can easily cast unwanted shadows across the scene. The LG-1 is designed to distribute the light from the camera's built-in LED around the subject, helping to provide more even illumination for macro and microscope-style photography.

The light guide is particularly useful when photographing small objects, insects, plants, textures, details and other subjects where controlled, close-range lighting is important.

Designed for Close-Up Shooting

The LG-1 can be used for extremely close macro photography, with OM SYSTEM documentation specifying use from approximately 1cm from the lens front. This makes it possible to get very close to flat subjects while maintaining more even illumination across the shooting area.
