When to use Medium Neutral Density Grads?
Filter the sky with minimal impact on the land. Ideal when elements like rooftops and mountains protrude into the sky.

Neutral Density Grads
The LEE Filters range of Neutral Density (ND) Graduated Filters enable the photographer to selectively adjust exposure across the frame without affecting colour balance. They are almost an essential in modern landscape photography on both digital and film cameras. They come in a range of strengths denoting the light stopping power of the filter and a range of gradations between the dark and clear areas of the filter. Together these enable light control and creative flexibility in a wide range of situations.

New ND grad filters
All LEE Filters ND grads are made by hand, using technology that ensures the line of transition between the coated and clear areas of the filter is extremely precise. As a result, we have been able to expand the range of ND grads available to photographers using the Seven5, 100mm and SW150 fi lter systems. Now, alongside the traditional hard and soft gradations, photographers can also choose very hard and medium gradations, giving more control than ever when it comes to balancing exposures in-camera.

Precision
Our skilled UK team gradually builds up the ND gradation by dipping optically correct resin in baths of dye and continuously monitoring the results. Each filter represents up to an hour of skilled work.

Range
Because of our exacting process we are able to create four different gradations to give photographers complete creative control.

What is the Lee system?
At the core of the LEE Filters system is the holder, which comes assembled with two filter slots but can easily be adapted to take up to four filters. The holder is designed to be compatible with 100mm filters – our standard width. To fit the holder to the lens, an adaptor ring is required.

Foundation Kit
The Foundation Kit takes standard 100mm filters, and can be constructed to take up to three filters at any one time. The Foundation Kit, like all others, clips onto the adaptor ring which, in turn, screws onto your camera's lens.
