Used Kodak Jiffy Vest Pocket Film Camera

£60.00

£45.00

The Kodak Jiffy Vest Pocket (V.P.) camera, produced from the mid-1930s to the early 1940s, utilized 127 roll film, a format introduced by Kodak in 1912. This film is 46mm wide and typically yields eight exposures per roll in a 4×6 cm frame size, though variations like 4×4 cm (12 exposures) and 4×3 cm (16 exposures) were also standard. The Jiffy V.P.'s compact, folding design made it highly portable, aligning with the "vest pocket" concept. Its fixed-focus lens and simple controls catered to amateur photographers seeking convenience. While Kodak ceased production of 127 film in 1995, niche manufacturers have occasionally produced it, and some photographers adapt 120 film to fit 127-format cameras. The Jiffy V.P. remains a collectible piece, reflecting a period when portability and simplicity were paramount in camera design.
